Love

1 Corinthians 13
1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the
greatest of these is love.

Deep down, everyone just wants to love and to be loved. And love motivates.
It's a new day, a new beginning and a new arc. Count your stars and begin to start.

Starry Starry Night

"The Starry Night" painted by Vincent Van Gogh

There's a song that sings about Vincent's painting — 'The Starry Night' called "Vincent", sung by Don Mclean. I kinda love the way Don Mclean sings about Vincent's painting!

Can't wait to see the stars from Punggol!

Transitions

March 2011 is a month of transition for me. So many things has changed! I'm moving house, the church is moving to Suntec, the grad show design is almost done and I've made close friends in NAFA.

I'll miss the times when I walk home from the MRT station. It was just me, my music and God. I pray while I walk home. And I'll always do a good self-reflection along the way.

When I reach the bridge that's just in front of SAJC, I'll look between SAS and SAJC..and just gaze into the night sky. It's usually filled with stars! And I'll look out for my favorite constellation - the orion belt.

It became a ritual for me to pray and just be introspective while I gaze at the stars. I have no idea why, but the stars in the skies seems to make me feel better. It just makes me feel comfortable. I'll always try to count, but I'll never ever finish counting, ever.

When walking the straight and narrow path down the park, I'll always keep a look out to check if there's anyone around. When there's no one around, I'll just sing my hearts out! It's already a habit for me to do that, it just makes me feel better. And while doing that, I pray.

Everybody will always go through a period of transition. It will just make you realize how much you love and cherish that moment before the change. That path I walk home from the MRT station has already become a part of me before I knew it. And now, I am moving to a farther place, I'll never get a chance of walking down that same road back home ever again.

Even when someone moves on from a place to another, they will still feel connected to it. The feelings and connection will never change. The memories stays with them forever. It will always be a part of them.

Potong Pasir - the place that I've stayed for more than 20 years. I'm finally moving out and moving on. I'll miss the childhood memories I've had. I'll miss every single thing in this place! It will become a nostalgic place for me!

Moving onto the new arc, a new chapter has begun!
