1st Death Anniversary

Yup! Today's the first death anniversary of Michael Jackson – the King of Pop.
Here is how he look like in the year I was born(1990)!

I love his military style jacket! I wish I can have my own military style jackets! I hope I would be able to get my very own THIS IS IT Blu Ray! I haven't gotten it yet.

Sigh, MJ is sucha great guy. In that picture above, he was awarded the 'Good Scout Humanitarian' award. Whatever the controversies and rumors are, I believe that Michael is a good father, humanitarian, lover of the world's children, great musician, great dancer.

I would always listen to his music whenever I feel tired and I have to do my work. I would stand up and dance along his music! (Yes I know, YOU dance?! Yes I do!)

A year ago, on this exact date, I woke up with smses telling me that my favorite pop icon is dead. Sad? Kinda. I do feel disappointed and what a waste. A music legend passed.
No doubt Michael Jackson is one of the greatest phenomenon in the music and dance industry. But often people forgot how much humanitarian works he has done for the orphanage and sick children all over the world. I would want to be a humanitarian, that helps all the children of the world some day.

If I were to be able to see Michael Jackson face to face, I think I will never say anything. I would just give him a hug and smile at him. I think that hugs are just awesome. No matter the language barriers or limited vocabulary, hugging someone would definitely show your love for that person, be it friends, family, spouse or even a total stranger.

I wish Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. (Prince), Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, Prince Michael Jackson II (Blanket) all the best for their own childhood and the future to come.

movieees

Yes! Even during internship I could still catch some movies in the midst of the busyness.
I've watched Shrek 3, Prince of Persia, Book of Eli and Toy Story 3!

Didn't get the chance to watch The Last Song though. D:
Yeah, anyway lets start on the reviews shall we?

First up!
Movie Title: Shrek the Third
My Rating: 6/10

Hmm. Comparing the third Shrek movie to the first, I think that Dreamworks had put a nice and pleasing end to Shrek. But somehow, I still felt that the storyline could've been better!

The whole series of Shrek movies often reminds us of our family and friends. All of us gotta cherish the people around us more, especially our love ones – our family and friends. In this movie, Shrek made a bad choice. Instead of living in the reality, he chose to go back the his ogre days. Unknowingly, he made a contract to take away one day from his life. And at the end, he found out that every single day is important and significant.

Though sometimes we thought that our lives might be boring and tiring and frustrating, but always remember..we are here to be a blessing to our friends and family. Every day is important.
Cherish your family and friends. They are important!

Movie Title: The Book of Eli
Rating: 8/10

Do you like post-apocalypse movies? This is something that you must watch it you love post-apocalypse stories! Though this is not a SUPER GOOD movie but still, there are some brilliance to some parts.

I love it when Eli shows his faith on God and his mission. He is just so sincere. Walking for 30 years just to get the bible to the destination is no joke. His faith in this movie made me think a little. We should never take things for granted yeah? What's the point when you reached the end, then you start looking for help?

I think this movie would make believers have a heart warming feel, especially when he recites the verses to encourage himself and at the end too. Oh gosh, I love the ending. It's just so .. touching!

I gotta say, I totally love the new touch on this movie. No other movies has religious concepts, especially 'post-apocalypse' movies.

Movie Title: Toy Story 3
Rating: 9.999999/10

No movie's ever perfect. But I'd say, Toy Story 3 really almost fulfill anything you'd say perfect.
It still possesses its innocent touch to the story. The charm of Pixar Disney's classics is still there. It's just heart warming and happy to watch Toy Story 3 on the big screen again.

I totally love the plot and the introduction to the new toys! The gorgeous detailed animation is simply mind blowing. And I totally love Totoro! (yes, totoro is in the movie!)
As people grow up, life moves on. The old things must go and new things will come. The old man must die and the new man shall come. Our lives is limited and 'trapped' by time. It will be inevitable that one day, we all must part our friends, family and things that we cherish most.

Toy Story 3 has put a good end to the movie sequel. An awesome plot. Great message. Perfect animation + voice cast. It totally creates a nostalgic feel and makes you wanna cry and get emotional.

I totally love this movie! And I think that they're gonna win the Oscars again.

Pixar never disappoints their viewers.

I TOTALLY LOVE BUZZ LIGHTYEAR!

To Infinity and beyond.

SCID Personality Test

Hey! I've taken this test from http://gregwiens.com/scid
This is called the SCID Personality Test, or some call it DISC test.

I think it's kinda cool ya know! It's really fun. Take it and share your results among your friends, family or even your spouses! You'll definitely get to know each other a little bit more and you'll get to know the average gauge where you stand.

S: Steadiness (submission in Marston's time) – relating to patience, persistence, and thoughtfulness.

C: Conscientiousness (or caution, compliance in Marston's time) – relating to structure and organization

I: Influence – relating to social situations and communication

D: Dominance – relating to control, power and assertiveness

I'm more of a 'S' person if I were to compare with both 'Natural Behavior' and 'Adaptive Behavior'.

High "S" individuals are calm, relaxed, patient, possessive, predictable, deliberate, stable, consistent, and tend to be unemotional and poker faced. – Wikipedia

So true! I am always like that huh! Hmm, so the next in line is 'C'.

"C" people are careful, cautious, exacting, neat, systematic, diplomatic, accurate, and tactful.

"I" scores influence others through talking and activity and tend to be emotional. They are described as convincing, magnetic, political, enthusiastic, persuasive, warm, demonstrative, trusting, and optimistic.

Low "D" scores describe those who are conservative, low keyed, cooperative, calculating, undemanding, cautious, mild, agreeable, modest and peaceful. – Wikipedia

So I'm a "S-C", Steady-Conscientious person. Someone that is calm, relaxed, patient, possessive, stable, consistent, neat, cautious, tactful, diplomatic. I tend to be emotional some time but not all the time. And I am undemanding, cautious, mild, modest and peaceful.

Fun eh?

60?

Hopefully, I’ll retire by 60 and have enough money to migrate. Migrate with my wife to a cold and slow paced country.
What would I be doing there? Relax. Walk around the town, greeting the neighborhood. Going to the nearby cafe, drinking a warm cup of coffee. Eating a slice of cake.

Then chat with my other half about our life. Laugh at each other. And travel once in a while to visit my grand children.

And of course attending a nearby church. Enjoying the slow paced life we’ve been wanting. Life is too fast when you’re young

Delirious

Camp Delirious is super exciting and really amazing. I was so amazed by the presence of God!
On the 2nd night I was very privileged to share my very own testimony about my life as a believer – before and after.

When I stood up on stage sharing my testimony, many thoughts ran into my mind. God reminded me the days when I first came church. I was reminded of the days, how difficult it was for me to go to church and for service. I even remembered the sneaky things that I tried to do in order for me to get out of the house just to go for service.

I remembered the very first time I was able to go for service on Sunday 10am. My mum would usually force me to go with her to the temple every Sunday morning but on that faithful day, I was down with high fever. Nevertheless, I woke up and found out that my mum was out. I quickly called Darwin and went down for service together with him. I could remember the exact place I was sitting in Expo. God reminded me of the days where I was really so hungry for Him. Of course, I am still.

I gotta thank the cell group leaders, Jared and Pst. Edmund for giving me this opportunity to share my very own testimony. I always wanted to share, I always wanted to show how real God is and this is it. It really happened for me. And I do hope that my testimony would be a great inspiration for young people out there.

If God can use a person like me to shine for Him, He will do it for you too. Only if you believe.

The difference.

There is a big difference between want and need. And there is a big difference when you do things out of responsibility and out of love.

Solution? Learn to love. So you’ll want to do what you need to do, doing things out of love for that responsibility.

Love motivates.

Prince of Persia

Movie name: Prince of Persia
My rating: 7/10

A touch of brotherly love really made the movie kinda meaningful! Basically, this guy isn't part of the royal family until the King of Persia saw his nobility and courage, defending the poor and saving them. This dude is really the Prince of Persia not because he is part of the royal family but it is because how much he loves Persia and its people.

In this movie, some confusion and misunderstanding happened which made him a wanted person of Persia. However because of the sands of time he was able to reconstruct the history again. And this time round he was able to make things clear because of the trust and love between him and the real royal princes which are also his brothers.

At the end of the day, we gotta trust our family and friends. The bond between brothers and sisters are really important!

Anyway, it's a nice movie. A decent one. Not too shabby! You should watch it if you can!

Asia Conference and CGI 2010

Asia Conference 2010 was awesome. What a privilege to be part of this congregation! And what an honor to see Dr. Cho here in Singapore Expo Hall 8 speaking to all of us!

Had a great and exciting time. What a wonderful experience! Too bad I was working for the first two days but still, running from Clarke Quay to Raffles Place MRT station was exciting! Being all jumpy and filled with excitement when the clock hits 6pm was really fun.

Throughout these few days, we all get to see many anointed leaders around the world! Such as Reinhard Bonkke! This guy rocks man! Despite being 70, he still preaches as if he is sill a teenager! Such passion, fire, excitement and energy truly shows how much he relies on God for strength. A man at the age of 70 had more than 55 million people saved and still preach with such energy, what a guy!

Another great man of God - Dr. Yonggi Cho. The founder of the world's largest church with more than 850,000 members in Korea. Despite having to suffer from pain in the body, he came all the way here to speak to us. What an honor! I'm like a big fan of these two now!

In one of the services, Pst. Kong reminded us the basics of the church - love. Love should be the foundation for the church. We ought to love one another. Most of the time, we are often being drowned by our own wants and needs and we neglected the people around us. Love should be our motivation in life. Love for our family and friends, and even love for the unfortunate.

Watching all the videos about CHCSA and our church's missionary team traveling to Haiti and the video about the poor elderlys in Singapore really made me weep. Most of the time we all see them along orchard road but we choose to ignore. It's time for us to do something!

Many church leaders from all over the world came. Despite having little money left, many of them came here, hoping for a hope, hoping for a breakthrough, hoping for their lives to be changed. Many of them left with a heartache from their country.

Of course, after being inspired and motivated, it is time to do what we can. With love, with God.
