ISP week 3

The last and final lap for year 2!

Currently trying my best to complete everything as fast as possible. Despite the time constrain, I hope I'll be able to get everything printed by FRI!

Submission is this coming Monday 10am! And Saturday is Labour Day, so no print shops will be open during the weekend. In other words, I must complete everything by FRIDAY and to be PRINTED and COMPLETED.

Huhuhu.. my face is getting fatter everyday and more pimply! ):

9.39pm

Oh gosh, ISP IS HERE! AGAIN!!!
This time round, I'm kinda stuck with my ideas (again). Firstly, we're given the weirdest project title/topic ever. It's called "Farmer's Funk". I went like, "what the..?!"

And we're only given 5 options to work on!
1. Animal Farm
2. Bee Farming
3. Orchard
4. Vineyard
5. Poultry Farm

It means that we can only work within anything related to these 5 options. And we are only allowed to choose 1 option. It could mean that if I am working on Poultry Farm, I can link it to Airlines business, because of the bird family. Yeah, something like that.

This isn't the only "OH MY GOSH!" part. We are asked to take up internship this holiday! From 17th May to 2nd July! We have to work minimum of 6 weeks in our internship and we have to find it ourselves by April 30th. Gosh, where in the world can I find it so quick?!

I'm currently hoping to get into either Phunk Studio (which many of my friends says it's difficult or their recruitment is closed) and SPH. I do not mind any other design firms, all I want is to get my internship! I want to learn more and hoping to have an acceptable pay.

Oh God, please help me!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Movie Title: Diary of a Wimpy Kid
My Rating: 6/10

Justtttt pass! Maybe it's because I'm not the target audience. This movie would be good for a family setting with middle school kids around. Though it doesn't really have the essence of a super movie like Avatar, but teaches a few good lessons.

Things like, be yourself! You do not have to try to be someone else in order to become popular or cool! Sometimes, at the moment of your life, this particular thing might be the most important. But when you grow up, you will find that it wasn't as important after all. And, one thing I like about the movie is the friendship! Friends do help each other when the other is in need of help. When something bad happened, do you blame your friends for it? Or do you take yourself to blame?

Yep, if you have a middle-school/primary-school sibling or kid, bring them to watch this!

The Clash of the Titans

Movie Title: Clash of the Titans
My Rating: 6/10

This movie is actually a remake! Amazingly, the graphics and effects are awesome. However, the plot is just..plain? The plot doesn't go with the graphics and effects or the movie posters you see.

Though it has the old fashioned plot, somehow I disagree that it is a bad movie. I felt that it's quite cool, except for the whole God killed the Titans and Humans VS God thingy, it's just..odd. Yes I know that it's according to Mythology, but they could've twitched it a little.

Well, for the guys, if you like massive action and graphical content, this movie would be kinda great!
For the girls, if you are looking for romance in this movie, no. Just don't watch this.

Music and Lyrics

Movie Title: Music and Lyrics
My Rating: 7/10

A very nice movie with good music, lyrics, actors and plot! I love the way the characters in the movie describe music and how they created their very own music and lyrics. The movie title is a little lame, but seriously? This movie is really more than how does the title describes it!

If you really love music, lyrics and some good humor, music and lyrics is the movie you should watch!

Couples Retreat

Managed to get a short break to watch couples retreat in the midst of my workload! yay.

Movie Title: Couples Retreat
Rating: 7/10

This movie is about 4 married couples, and they are all good friends. Recently, they found out that their marriage isn't working well therefore one of the couples found a resort that is actually meant for married couples. They also include therapy and counseling sessions for them too.

It really shows how much couples sometimes just has to stay away from what they are doing and take a look at their own marriage. Is their marriage becoming a job? Are they still in love with one another? Do they need to change? Is everything fine?

The couples in this movie managed to found their first love again, managed to resolve certain problems found in their marriage and the movie had a happy ending!

"The ass. You are the ass. Stubborn and immovable. The mighty ass, tirelessly bears the heavy burden of others. But when the ass is on the move, nothing can stop the ass. Be an ass for your marriage, be an ass for your children, be an ass for love."

Easter 2010

Every easter, CHC would definitely have our very own drama. As usual, we invite friends and families to watch.

But I think this time round feels different. I've been working for long hours for my projects and I'm almost passing out. But when I step into the hall and watched the drama, things started to change. I felt that this time round the drama made more impression into me. It has more kick than ever. Even though I've watched it 3 times, I'm still tearing at the same part, laughing at the same part, and tearing again at the same part.

I guess some things are really about to change, and I do hope that it's happening. I find my walk with God is very different this year, I find myself praying more regularly, fasting more regularly, going for bible study. I hope that this year would be a big breakthrough for me! Feeling so much closer to Him this year is amazing!

I remembered when people said that NAFA is a graveyard for believers, but it turned out that I'm doing so much better. I'm relying on Him more! I think when army comes, I'm gonna be more prepared for it. Many said that NS is a graveyard for believers too, but I believe I'm gonna be over that!

Before the Easter drama started, Pst. Kong talked about the Suntec building. It was disheartening to know that there are so many controversies even from our very own members. He's strongly focused on the unity of the church to the point that he would rather that we give up the whole Suntec project just to get everyone united. Whatever it is, I'm confident of CHC's leaders. I believe that they are doing what they can do best for the whole congregation and I fully trust in the leadership and ministry. I'm not gonna be bothered about the controversies, rumors and gossips. I am going to Suntec, with the whole congregation. SUNTEC!!!

Thank You God for everything. Thanks for all the breakthroughs!
