Blackberry Bold

Finally! After waiting for so long and hoping for one, I've finally gotten bold!

Just yesterday, my Dad called saying that he got the $100 voucher from Starhub already. So he asked me to go down together with him to Plaza Singapura. In my mind, I thought I would be just getting the curve since it's $128 and with the $100 voucher, it will only be $28!

When it is our turn for the customer service, my Dad asked for the dum
my set to compare Curve and Bold.
He asked, "Curve? So small leh, you want meh?"

Of course I would want a bold! Curve is so small but I would not mind if there's no other choice.

Funny thing is, I even got $50 voucher from signing up Data Bundle for Blackberry! So in total I had $150 discount!

Blackberry Curve was $128 so if I were to use $150 discount, I would get it for FREE!

Blackberry Bold was $388 (white) and $488 (black, which costs the same as Bold 2), with discount it will be $238 (white) and $338 (black/bold2).

Here comes the twist.

My Dad started asking how much would my Sony Ericsson C902 worth if he wants to trade in. My old phone worth $150! $150 discount + $150 from trade in = $300 off!

So in total, my Dad paid only $88 for Blackberry Bold (White) !

PTL! I've finally gotten the phone I've been longing for! Yay!
But I have to wait for 6 working days for my Student Plan and Data Plan to be activated! ):

Haiti

I can't believe that the earthquake is still happening again in Haiti. I am very proud to be part of CHC! CHC has been sending doctors and nurses and even some other helpers over to Haiti. Medical treatments are provided. Very proud that Sun Ho is even going there to help.

I even remembered that one of my goals is to go on a humanitarian trip.

Gotta pray for them, it's all I can do.

First Week of Sem 2

The first week went pretty well! The modules are pretty difficult, it's getting more and more profound. I hope that I can cope with the standard!

But I gotta say, my favorite module above all is 'Typography For Print Communication'!
I think typography is still the most interesting topic ever. We get to learn to use different mediums to create typography, other than using computers!

Been on tumblr lately.
Kinda addicted to searching for pictures of Chocolates/Nutella/Peanut Butter/Michael Jackson.

Time passes in the blink of an eye. It's 2010 already and I'm 20 this year! I don't wanna age!

NAFA Year 2 Semester 2 is here. I can already imagine what is it gonna be like again. Sleepless nights, dark circles, eye bags, printing, projects, assignments, etc.

Nevertheless, I shall say the same thing - I'll trash these assignments with all I've got! I gotta be better. I'm not satisfied with my results!
Hopefully this semester would be a great one! I hope to know many more people and to really make more close friends in NAFA.

Let's take a look into my time table!

Holiday Movie Reviews

Movie Title: Avatar
My Rating: 9/10

Alright, first and foremost, I gotta admit. This movie has more surprises than it seems. Though the posters and the advertising shows lots of graphics and 3D stuff, but man.. this movie has what it got to win any other movies! Firstly, the 3D part isn't that simple! It's more hi-tech than Star Trek and Transformers!

Avatar was filmed with newly developed stereosc
opic cameras that simulate human sight. Even Spielberg and George Lucas came to see how Cameron direct with the new technology!

The storyline is pretty predictable which is why I had it a point less for the rating. But! The concept is really mind blowing and it is simply amazing. The feel to the movie is really different. It is totally different from any other kind of movie you ever watched in your lifetime. You gotta watch Avatar!

Movie Title: Sherlock Holmes
My Rating: 8/10

This movie has a new perspective to Sherlock Holmes and it really shows how does he think and this movie somehow explains what makes him such a great detective. I've got nothing much to say but you have to watch it to know Sherlock Holmes! I like this movie man..Holmes' awesome.

Movie Title: The Time Traveler's Wife
My Rating: 10/10

If you are girl, you gotta bring LOADS of tissue while watching it. I think this has to be one of the must watch Romance Movie! The plot and concept of this movie is simply awesome. It's a very heartwarming and heartbreaking movie. I admit, I did cry when I watched it! You'll never understand until you watch it!

Movie Title: The Notebook
My Rating: 9/10

I gotta say, after watching The Time Traveler's Wife then this, you'll cry a bucket. I've finally watched The Notebook! A movie that many people had been talking about and after so long, I've watched it. Yet again, it's a romance movie. And yet again, it is a heartwarming and yet heartbreaking movie. I shall not give any spoilers but, please! WATCH THE NOTEBOOK!

1 Week before School

What would you do when you can only stay at home for 1 whole week before school starts?
You don't have money, you can't travel, you can only tweet, facebook, watch videos, watch tv as leisure.

Heres what you can do:
1) Make sure you have enough instant noodles
(indomie recommended)

2) Make sure you have a tin of Milo

3) Make sure you have enough food in the fridge
(harsh browns, nuggets, hotdogs recommended)

4) Look throughout your kitchen to search for canned food
(Chicken Stew recommended)

5) Make sure you have a laptop/desktop with internet connection.

6) Download movies/videos (though illegal but, no choice)
(Dramas recommended)

7) Read books
(Bible recommended)

8) Do exercises such as push ups and crunches

9) Sing out loud while playing music, dancing along with it will be awesome
(Michael Jackson songs recommended)

10) MSN, Skype, OOVOO, Facebook, Twitter have to become your best buds

11) Do housework
(listening to your favorite music will make things easier)

12) Nap

I hope this list helps! LOL!

New Year Gifts!

Tommy Hilfiger Belt from Gillien!
A special card holder/wallet from Shaun!

These two gifts are things I've been wanting to buy! My old belt has already split into 3 and my card holder/wallet has already cracked. Yay.

2010

It's a new year, new beginning, new goals, new visions.
It's time for a change of things.
I need to change for the better.

Gotta set new goals in my goal planner!
Gotta believe that there are no boundaries.

Gotta change.

2010 MALACCA!

It's been 10 years ago since I last left the country. It's a great privilege to go to MALACCA! The food there is CHEAP! But most important of all its to go with the leaders!

The first day was the most tiring one, due to the long distance travel on car. I think Edmund Tan was awesome driving us there for nearly 6 hours straight!

When we first reached Malacca, we went to have Peranakan dinner! Peranakan food was better than I expected, except for the super spicy sotong the rest of the people loved it. The Chendol was AWESOME to the max!

In the night, we had some time of thanksgiving and appreciation. I think that at that point of time I really felt challenged. To think that I did a lot was really nonsense compared to what the leaders are doing. It was really encouraging to see the leaders winning an award for their hard work! Let's not go into details but soon enough it was countdown already!

From the previous post about 2009, I gotta say, it really has ended well. Breakthroughs really came!

After thanksgiving, some of us headed out for supper! We ate fish ball noodles. To think that it's just fish ball noodles, you are dead WRONG! The noodles they serve is really special! The fish balls are really big and tasty and IT IS SUPER CHEAP.

The 2nd day was really fulfilling! We headed out for early lunch eating the famous CHICKEN RICE BALL! I paid only RM8 I think, for a meal with extra chicken rice ball and assam fish! (It's only RM0.20 per rice ball which means it's $0.08SGD only!)
I drank the best drink ever in Malacca, which was the WHITE ICE COFFEE!
This cup of White Ice Coffee is really really special! They had frozen ice in the cup and then they just pour the white coffee over! The taste is really awesome awesome awesome.

McDonald's McValue Lunch is only RM5.90 which is $2.45SGD
The prosperity burger has the same price but in RM!
The Chicken Burger costs only RM2!
The Cheese Burger costs only RM2!
It's really really cheap but well, if you compare the taste, I would say Singapore's McDonald's really rocks.

Now, check out what we had for dinner!
Claypot Rice: RM5.50
Chee Chong Fan: RM3
Kuay Teow: RM5
Ba Kut Teh: RM5 (unsure)
Fried Dumplings(x10): RM8
Ice Milo: RM1.80
I forgot what else is there but but but! THE CHEE CHONG FAN ROCKS.
The claypot rice is the best, followed by the CHEE CHONG FAN and then the Ba Kut Teh then the rest of them are like.. nothing compared!

I guess it's just me but I think that Malacca's food is really nice and it's cheap!

Anyway, more than the food and the shopping, the whole experience was really great. It's a privilege to know many more leaders in the zone and I am glad I could go!

Special thanks to Jared and my Dad! If it's not for these two people, I will be spending my time alone at home while the rest of my friends are having countdown. This trip will forever be embedded in my memory.

I miss A&W, Chee Chong Fan, Claypot Rice, Ba Kut Teh, Chicken Rice Ball, Bing Tang Hu Lu, Pineapple Tarts.
