Famous failures
Thomas Edison failed more than a thousand times before he finally invented the light bulb.
Bill Gates dropped out of school and failed at his first business before finally creating Microsoft.
Walt Disney was fired by the newspaper company because "he lacked creativity and imagination"and had many business failures before finally setting up Disney.
Albert Einstein didn't spoke until he was four. Did not read until he was seven. He was expelled from school before he finally became the most famous scientist in the world.
Isaac Newton didn't do well in school and was being sent away to Cambridge by his uncle before he became the most famous scholar today.
Winston Churchill failed at sixth grade and struggled in school and failed the election twice before becoming the Prime Minister of United Kingdom.
Charlie Chaplin was denied from Hollywood because they think that his act will never work.
Vincent Van Gogh was never a famous artist. He only sold one painting in his lifetime. He often starved in order to complete 800 of his works. Today, his painting worth millions.
Stephen King was rejected over 30 times before he finally published his first. He wanted to give up, wanted to throw away his first written book.
J.K. Rowling was suffering from depression after a divorce and struggled to raise her child while attending school and writing a novel. Today, she had amazed the world with her magical world.
Elvis Presley got fired many times as a performer.
The Beatles was rejected from many recording companies.
Michael Jordan had missed more than 9000 shots and lost over 300 games.
Michael Jackson was being looked down upon by his own father.
The names mentioned above are names that we all know. We know these names it's because of their successes but not knowing that they had their failures too. We may fail over and over again, but if we are determined and only if we believe that we can do it, we will succeed eventually. Do your best, leave the rest to God.
"I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed"— Michael Jordan

Commitment vs Compliance
Commitment
• the act of committing, pledging, or engaging oneself.
• to give in trust or charge; consign.
• the act of pledging
• a promise
Compliance
• the act of yielding
• to act according to requests/demands/requirements/conditions
• to carry out
Today in class, my lecturer gave a very interesting and an important analogy. He was talking about 'Commitment vs Compliance'.
So, what is the difference between Commitment and Compliance?
To be committed, there are a set of rules to follow. And you follow and do it with the HEART. You'll do more than the required promise/pledge.

To be committed, there are a set of rules to follow. And you follow and do it with the HEART. You'll do more than the required promise/pledge.
To comply, there are also a set of rules to follow. But you only follow with the BRAIN. You'll only do what is required and will definitely just meet the requests/demands and that's it.
If everybody were to do things with commitment; with our heart, we'll definitely do more than what we are asked to do — going the extra mile.
In a relationship between a couple, if they were to only comply and not be committed, they are like robots! But most of the time, one in a relationship will tend to do MORE than required, it is because he/she has an HEART for his/her partner!
eg.Boyfriend talked about needing a new pair of socks, girlfriend was shopping and saw socks. Girlfriend bought a few pair of socks and a drink, chocolates, dinner.Girlfriend is having fever. Boyfriend bought panadol, dinner, drinks, towel, vacuum flask while going to visit.Boss asks employee to meet the customer to discuss about the business project. Employee bought cakes, muffins and starbucks for the customer before meeting.
It's good to always do MORE! Most of the time, it is because some people went the extra mile and did more than required and eventually they became more successful than anyone else. So, be committed! Do everything with commitment; with your heart.
