CNY Day 1

Yay, its Chinese New Year!
I was looking forward to have a great reunion dinner with my grandma.
But, yet again the same thing happens over and over again.

Its between my parents again.
I really do not know how did it started or why did it started.
Everything just happened so quick then they started quarrelling and yelling. Everyone that was eating their reunion dinner came out of their house to look.

It was very embarrassing.
But, they are still my parents though. I think its because my mum wants to eat vegetarian or something and my Grandma didn't prepared. I really don't know what sparked off both of them. Its always like that and I'm sick of it.

If you were to ask me what would I say about their behavior, one word! CHILDISH.
Ok, I might sound harsh or disrespectful, but as parents and adults, shouldn't they know how to control? Alright, yet again, looking from their perspective, I still don't see any reasons to do all that at all. Shouldn't we all celebrate more than its just because its CNY? My Grandma is in the year 2009 already! That is what we should celebrate!

At least show some concern and respect for the elderly.
How I wish there is a tool that can rewire their brains to make them think right!

I can always laugh away the problem but it can never be solved if none of them tries to talk to each other in a neutral manner or at least start to think for my brother.

Oh God, I really need to have a big heart to love my parents more dispite what they did.
I can't think of any other ways to help them but to pray about it and hoping that one day, I can really talk to them and solve the problems between them.

Okie Dokie, so much for Day 1 huh. I'm looking forward to Day 2, W/O the music. I can't wait to see my Nephew and Nieces!

Thanksgiving 2008

Yep! Late thanksgiving haha.

Today was really funny and all. Everyone did really enjoyed themselves!
And I think its good that Yan Ming had been working hard for leading the praise and worship, it must have been hard for him. But I would still say, I take my hat off him. He is daring and dynamic!

Many of us wore like superstars! We even had a Bu Jing Yun.O(≧∇≦)O
Hikaru dressed as Peter Parker! Darwin dressed as a Terrorist
And I dressed as HARRY POTTER! 〆(・∀・@)

I was ultimately impacted when Darwin, Lucas and Vincent (yan ming) shared their testimony of what had God done for them in the year 2008.

For Darwin, his 2008 was pretty interesting. He went into NAFA not knowing what is fashion marketing is all about. But he went into it anyway. I think that is really a miracle for him to do so well for all his modules. He even got 3 distinction and a GPA of 3 out of 4.
God is certainly moving in his life. He prays and fast for all these to happen.

Lucas' testimony was very shocking. He starting saying that his 2008 was pretty bad. He is serving NS and he's been transfered to something like a Prison Sercurity dude. He has to check visitor's pockets etc. He has been striving hard before he got transfered, hoping he would turn out to be in a better place than the other people while they are all slacking and "eating their potato chips getting fat and all" HAHA.
But he came to share a verse with us from the Bible.

Joseph - Son of Jacob, he was being sold off as a slave by his brothers. Accused of rape. Thrown into prison. Helped the Pharaoh to interpret dreams and then casted away. But the thing is that no matter what kind of crappy things happened to him, his love for God is still strong and mighty. This story shows that even Christians would face persecution and trials.

Vincent's testimony was indeed amazing. He is shining for God mightily! He is really a MVP, a role model for everyone of us. I would definitely take off my hat for him for the things he do. Things like really building a good relationship with the international people that just joined the cellgroup. Striving his best even it was his Final Year Project period for Man Hunt. Truely inspiring for all of us. To think that he was once a ah beng  or a street gangster, he has certainly been changed.

Well, come to think of it, is there anything I can thank God for 2008? Is there anyone I would specially thank for 2008?

Yes of course! Getting into NAFA was already the greatest miracle I could ever get. Financially, my Dad's income can't really survive properly. His CPF, I doubt there is much in it. He really sacrificed a lot for me in order for me to persue my dreams, to become a Graphic Designer.

When I was about to get into SIM, I kept asking myself, is SIM really what I wanted? I got promted in my heart saying that I should try NAFA. Then Shaun asked me if I want to have a try with the entrance test. For your information, NAFA's requirements are 5 'O' Level results. And I got only 4 credits!

Miraculously I got into NAFA! I remembered, the very faithful day, the person called me and said I've successfully got my place in the school. I was overwhelmed.

When it came to my Semester Project. I really really didn't expected a B! I even thought I would fail it. Before I did the project I kept praying about it, trying to ask God to give me a creative idea. Indeed, the idea came just like that! I did about my Grandma and me. At first I thought it would be very boring and all but it turned out to be sentimental and touching.
My GPA was good, average, not too bad neither very fantastic.

Back to Thanksgiving 2008. It was awards time!
I'm so happy that Joel won the Magnet award! Magnet Awards are those that are fishers of men, the most evangelistic, the one that brought revival. Joel Wong is Sec 1, 13 years old. I am proud of him being in my Connect Group.

Dannon won the Most Supportive Award! He is someone that is easy to get along with, easy to talk to, easy to relate to. He can "change his age" to young boy or to an adult! Thats his Hiro Nakamura's power HAHA.

Darwin won the MOST GENEROUS award. If you ask me how come?
I can only tell you, if he didn't get it then the generous award would not be giving out.
Darwin is the most generous person I ever met. He is very supportive too.

In my life, other than my parents, I can only thank Jared, Shaun and Darwin to provide finances for me. They carry great understanding of my situation and always give so generously to me. All I can do is to do my best for them. To help them whenever they need. I made a promise to myself that I must work hard, become a great designer, earn big bucks. I will definitely repay them!

Shaun got the MVP award! He is the overall winner!
He is generous, nobel and most supportive! What can I say? I can never find anyone like him ever.

For this thanksgiving 2008, I would want to take this chance to thank:
Jared - for EVERYTHING! Really! Without you, I would not be where I am today.
Shaun - taught me many things, challenged me a lot to change, generous giver and many many more!
Darwin - generous giver, supportive, brings live to your life, and too many more.
Hikaru - always helping me out at everything and being a great companion.
Fiona - thanks for all the help, the jokes, the gossips, the companion!

I guess, these are too little to thank them for. There is really too many things for me to type about how did they impacted me.

And I also want to thank every W212 members, My CLASSMATES! and also my wacky family.
