Concept: Since it is camp believe, I wanted to allow the receivers of the promo card to see something unbelievable which is why I used the tree with cosmic explosion in it. And which also explains the futuristic visual elements placed in the promo card.

5 Centimeters Per Second

"Gazing off into the distance far beyond our wildest dreams."

5 Centimeters Per Second is a 2007 Japanese Animated Movie.

The emotions that this movie produce caused me to be really speechless. The details put into this movie is really magnificent. The story would just make you feel so .. heartbroken yet you'll smile and your mind will take you on a trip back to nostalgic moments of your life. Yes, it's drama romance.

Watch it if you can.

Makoto Shinkai had expressed that, unlike his past works, there would be no fantasy or science fiction elements in this film. Instead, the feature film would attempt to present the real world from a different perspective. Makoto's film gives a realistic view of the struggles many face against: time, space, people, and love. The title 5 Centimeters Per Second comes from the speed at which cherry blossoms petals fall, petals being a metaphorical representation of humans, reminiscent of the slowness of life and how people often start together but slowly drift into their separate ways.

Towards 2010

The long awaited holidays are finally HERE!!!!!

Here are the things I want to do:

1. Improve my photoshop/illustrator/indesign skills.

2. Design more posters.

3. Compile work for online portfolio.

4. Halo 2 & 3 (actually for Hikaru)

5. Gain weight.

6. Try to do a morning jog everyday.

7. Organize connect group outings.

8. Work.

I've been waiting for this holiday for a long time! I've never been like that before, wanting holidays so much. I just wanna have a getaway from all the assignments and relax my mind. No assignments, no project deadlines, no lecturer consultations.

Can't wait for the camp, Christmas celebration, NAFA Opening Exhibition (hehe, my works will be displayed!).

NAFA Year 2 Semester 1 - COMPLETE

Mission accomplished.

NAFA Year 2 Semester 1 is officially OVER.

Friday assessment really scared the heck out of me! The lecturers went blabbering critics non-stop for 10minutes. I'm like the only person that got more than 5 minutes for assessment. I only got to explain my project for like.. 2 minutes and the rest were critics.

Of course, I'm glad that they pointed out my mistakes and gave me real constructive criticisms. They said that I am playing on the safe line, not experimental enough but my execution is good. Well, I'm glad to hear that but my heart was pounding so fast when I hear them criticizing!

When the assessment was over, my lecturer in charge asked me to pack my stuff nicely in the bag and she took it along with my $10 translucent A3 bag ):

But of course I am very happy that they took my work in!

So in other words, EVERY INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT was taken in by the lecturers!

I really hope I can get the As that I am hoping for!

Very happy to see myself improving and also, I would like to thank everyone that had gave me constructive criticisms and suggestions! Thank you Yuen, Xavier, Hikaru, Tian Wen, Loga, Fiona, Aaron Low, Gwen, Ck Tan, David Koh.

Integrated Studio Project 2A will officially end on Friday the 13th.

Assessment on Friday 9.30 AM

We'll have to hand it up on the 11th which is a Wednesday!

Jared Subzone Halloween Event @ Riverwalk

It was the first time attending a halloween event! What's more it is from Jared's subzone itself!
It was really really exciting...!!!!

I can't help to think back how crazy Shaun, Hikaru and I were back then. We painted our face!

We dressed up as the "Kiss" band.

Almost everybody dressed up, had their face painted! Some of them even went to the extent to go to a costume shop to rent!

The funniest thing of all is that Darwin dressed up as a chinese zombie!

Don't worry Darwin, we all still love you HAHAHAHA.

But most of all it is that everyone enjoyed the event and of course the friends that came too! Hope that they enjoyed and would join us again.
