Boys Before Flowers

Kam sa ham ni da!
An nyong ha sye yo?
Had been watching "Boys Before Flowers" this week. I'm on episode 8 right now. This is actually korean version of "Meteor Garden" but I think it's better! In my opinion, Korean and Japanese dramas are more expressive than any other country's dramas. Watch it if you are a Korean drama fanatic.

Movie Mania!

Movie Title: Angels & Demons
My movie rating: 9/10

Where did the 1 point go? It went to the boring parts that the movie is trying to explain the whole history. But well, this movie is highly recommended! If you have the money, intelligence, brains and you are a mystery lover, YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS.
This movie is basically about some conspiracy against the Catholic Church with a super big twist.

Movie Title: X-Men Origins: Wolverine
My movie rating: 8/10

Where did the 2 points go?
1 Point went to the poorly rendered 3D-effects. Some parts are just too fake.
2nd point went to the missing parts of the movie. I believe that this movie is somehow incomplete, still has room to be expanded.

Despite the poorly rendered graphics and the incompletion feeling, this movie is still worth watching. It has some romance in it and some brotherly parts. I guess the best part of this movie is when Hugh Jackman flexes every part of his body and roar. If you are a X-Men geek, you are incomplete without watching this.

Movie Title: Star Trek
My movie rating: 9/10
Where did the 1 point go? No movies are perfect! If I were to rate, I would really give it a 10/10 but if its a fair rating for both guys and girls, 9/10.
This movie is simply a guy show. But this movie is not just about the futuristic 3D effects. This movie really has some depth! Its not just about adventure in space but there is some romance in it and some things that will keep you thinking. I believe Star Trek is still incomplete with just one movie. Catch Star Trek if you really love futuristic sfx and some brain stressing due to some parts that are completely alien to anyone that has not watched Star Trek before.

I will definitely watch it again if I have the money.

Yup, these are the 3 movies that I watched this month. Burnt a hole in my pocket but well, its all worthwhile with friends.

Friendship.

What is friendship to you?
True friendship is not when you go to school and hang around with someone just because you have no one else to chill with.

Its not when you can't think of a birthday gift and ended up buying a card from 7-11.

Friendship is when you love someone with every ounce of your being and genuinely want them to be happy even if it means sacrificing something yourself to make them happy.

A true friend is someone you can talk to about your feelings, someone you can tell things you could never tell your family or even your partner.

Its someone you can talk to about things you disagree on and ended up being closer for that disagreement.
Friends never take advantage of one another.

They are someone that would tell you the truth even when the truth hurts.

Friends are the ones who knows all about you, and still be with you.

Friends are the most important ingredient in this recipe of life.

Friends are not just Yes-Mans.

Friendship is never easy to keep up.
Friends never gives pressure.

Friends are truthful in everything.

Friends will tell you everything like a mirror, showing the good and the bad.

Friendship is when your love for someone exceeds your need for them, not being selfish.
I believe that the circle of friends around me are not my friends by chance but a gift. They are always the ones that supports me, brings me out of my solitary. They are the ones that are generous. They are the ones who teaches me to change. Friends are never by chance but by choice.

I would always remind myself, "Who am I here for? and not Why."
I believe, there are many more that have yet to be seen, heard and done.

Thank God for all the friends that I have. :D

Worry.

Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it gets you nowhere. ~Glenn Turner
Sometimes we are often eaten up by our own worries. We worry almost about anything around us. Our family, friends, relatives, spouse, sibblings, pets, work, homework, school, finance, growth, breakthroughs, church, cellgroups and the list goes on.

I remind myself to do my best at everything in order for me to leave the rest to God and hoping that everything would turn out well.

The world is just awesome.

This is a video done by Discovery Channel. Its quite cool huh!

Yep, anyway, for the past week I've been visiting Dion till yesterday he flew back to Indonesia. We watched X-men Wolverine and Star Trek. Cooked at his place and made a mess. It's great to make great friends like them.

Been going gym and basketball with the guys recently hoping to become fit!
O(≧∇≦)O

The world is just awesome. There are still tons and tons of things out there for us to discover, for us to understand and for us to realise. I have to remind myself that I should be doing something constructive this holiday!

New Start.

Today was the final and last day before I go back to school again for 2nd year. Went to school to hand up my Print Making then played L4D with Wen Jie, Dion, Wan Ru, Fiona, Spencer and 2 other of their classmates.

It's really been a long time since I last played games. It was fun!

Later evening I was called up by my lecturer to meet her in staff room about something really urgent. Actually it was about my Visual Culture assignment. Well, to cut the long story short, it was a friend of mine that unknowingly copied my notes thinking that it was all from the book. I did not blame him neither our friendship is lost.

Hey Bro, if you see this, cheer up man! It's all gonna be okay, we are still good friends.

Later on was Cellgroup. It was a brand new start for W212 after being multiplied.
Everything feels kinda weird but I felt that our cellgroup really grew a lot.

Jared asked all of us 3 questions:

What do you want to achieve in:
1. Short Term (1 year)?
2. Medium Term (3 years)?
3. Long Term (7 years)?

I actually took quite a long time to think about it but here goes nothing!

Short Term
I want to get into Graphic Design as my major.
I want to have a new look before school starts again.
I want to learn more stuff during holidays.
I want to grow more and do more in chuch/cellgroup.
I want to have more allowance!

Medium Term
Studying Graphic Design Degree in NAFA 4th Year!
Finish NS asap.
Maybe get a Girlfriend perhaps?
Financially stable (even more allowance)

Long Term
See my family saved
Working as a Art Director HIGHLY paid
Get married?
2 Kids!

Ahahahaha, all these are just what I am thinking of for now. Who knows what would happen in the future? I'm just gonna do my best and of course, dream big and believe for it to happen.

Tired.

Finally, ISP is officially over. After a month of crazy chiongness, I'm getting worn out.Glad to have a bunch of friends with me. Glad that things turn out kinda alright. Glad that everything is good. Glad that friends made it just in time.

Today's presentation was kinda weird. We only had to say a little and the lecturers are okay with it. When I asked my lecturer in charge about our work, she said it was kinda disappointing.

She said that our class could've done better, more surprises. But she said that Dion and mine was alright, was ok. That was really disappointing to hear! There goes my A ):

And yeah, some updates through the week:

Celebrated Big Ben's 18th Birthday!
Rushing work at Dion's place.

Subzone games on Sunday.

Project 24: My first core item, 24 illustration cards.

Celebrated Chai Wen Jie's 23rd birthday!

I feel like having a super long sleep.
And the weather is a KILLER.

Integrated Studio Project

Yes! ISP is finally over. I am only left with presentation.
So far, I'm very happy for myself and also for everyone! Finally, we've all done it together. Finished our Project 24.

However, on the down side, I felt that without school would be kinda boring. Not traveling on the bus to school, not seeing friends, not doing homework together. What can I do during holidays?
Holidays are kinda boring to me now.

After having 9 months of holidays before NAFA started, I am quite tired of playing games. I want to work! I want to do something constructive man. Or at least hanging out with friends all day long.

Can't wait for assessment, can't wait for 2nd year to come, can't wait for my results for this semester, can't wait for cellgroup.

Inspire.

This week is pretty much tiring. But the good thing is that my body is recovering already. I am really happy this week. It's more than just completing ISP, more than just enjoying helping others.

To cut the long story short, I am very glad and happy to see that my cell group is growing. All these while as a connect group leader, I've always been asking myself if I am doing a good job. Yes, most of the people would say I've done a good job but it was not enough to me. I always believed that I could've done better.

God is good. On Sunday, 3 significant people were sitting right in front of me. During worship, I opened my eyes due to a call from Kah Eng asking where were we sitting. When I opened my eyes, I was awestruck.

Joel, Brandon and Pierson were singing with their hands lifted up, eyes closed and were really enjoying it. It just really made me so happy to see them growing so much! From the days where they just started coming to Church, just started to be more consistant in Cell Groups and Service, to where they are now.

I'm really encouraged by Jason too. The things that he told me encouraged me a lot. I am really glad that my connect group has really grown a lot. Brandon! We'll all miss ya. You can call me up anytime if you need anything at all!

Now in my heart, I really believed that there is more than all these installed for me in the future. Indeed, when I did my best, when I do what I could do and leave the rest to God, He'll definitely surprise me.

This week's sermon by Dr. Stephan K. Munsey was really really great. He taught us that being a leader, is not enough. Being a leader and to lead is one thing. But being an inspirer is different.
The way Dr. Munsey preach was totally awesome. He brought life out of the story in the bible into a drama acted and directed only by himself!

His message was really zai!
Our level of faith = our level of forgiveness.
Forgiving is really the ultimate level man..

Yep. So, would you want to lead or to inspire?

Life.

We must live life each day like it's the last.

Sometimes I just wish to have super powers to help everyone, like Superman. Or duplicate myself!
