What about the backstage crews?

SERVANTHOOD

Pastor had been preaching about servanthood recently.
You know, servanthood ain't easy!

Whats different about this particular sermon? It is about the "backstage crews".
Most of the time, people serve, they are seen, and they get their applause or whatever fame that is.

BUT! You know what? Andrew, one of the 12 Apostle is a good servant. He always does the small things and never did the big big stuffs like preaching in public.

Pastor also mentioned about Peter and Andrew.
The fact is, Peter was charismatic and was being the lime light and also one of the best disciples of Jesus.
While Andrew is just a normal disciple not being in the lime light.

Andrew knows it, he ain't any Peter. He find its okay because he knows that he is serving God! He has pure motives!
He even knew that he won't be one of Jesus' top disciples either!
(he is Peter's brother too)

Andrew knows the value of INVISIBLE SERVICE.
In John 1:40-42:
Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus.
The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus.
Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas" (which, when translated, is Peter).
Andrew came along and brought Simon Peter to Jesus and he just blends into the background.
But, Andrew wasn't angry. He didn't come along and tell Simon Peter why is Peter getting all the attention when Andrew is the person whom brought Peter to Jesus?

Andrew also knew the value of INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE.
He cares for the people. He always focus his attention to one person, he has the mind set that he serve people 1 by 1. Andrew just did all the things that anyone couldn't have really done it!
Its alright not to do the big thing! Andrew did all the smallest things.

He attend to 1 person at a time and faithfully served.

Andrew also knew the value of INSIGNIFICANT GIFTS.
In the bible, there is a miracle that Jesus did. It was the "5 loaves and 3 fishes" miracle.
It was Andrew that found the fishes and the loaves! He did the smallest things and it led to a big miracle! Wow! How awesome!

This sermon really encouraged me a lot.
To be truthful, I am not someone like Simon Peter. The charismatic, lime light, able to engage big crowds, cool to hang around with, etc.

But I am glad that I could still do something even though I may not be in the lime light! Backstage Crews are as important!

I want to do more, even if it is in the backstage. I am willing to do it even if its the smallest things. People grow by serving and doing the smallest things, as said by Pastor.

( ̄▽ ̄)ノNow that I know that the smallest most insignificant values could become the best, I wanna be like Andrew!!

Now how bout you!

Phenomena..

There was a similar skit done during the camp session too.
When I first watched the skit, I could just feel God.
Its so amazing that it just really show how life really is..

I found this vid on torance's blog. When I watched it the second time, just awhile ago, I really cried.
I don't know why either.. maybe it is just too touching. But it is definitely more than the touching, it is the truth.

Watch this video people, it is not just for Christians but rather, this video could relate to the world.

The youtube version is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyheJ480LYA

Its just beautiful..

I had a really really fun and amazing time during the two days and nights!
First of all, I wanna talk a little about my team! GAD!

TEAM GAD

A.Leader: Gwen
Members:
Edwin (me!)

Leon
Joel
Nikhil

Qweyln

Yes! These are the members of Team Gad!
Team Gad and Simeon are on the same house, BLUE!
BLUE BLUE BLUE BLUE BLUE

o(>▽<)o Alright, lets start on the first day. 09-06-08 Morning 6:45AM.
I woke up at 6:45AM Sharp to get prepared.
First and foremost I have to say, its really a prayer come true again!
I successfully got out from my house by 7.10AM and quickly walked to the MRT station.

Phew! Luckily the door didn't squeak much!
I got out from my house as if I'm a thief~ ヽ(≧Д≦)ノ

Anyway, I quickly took the MRT. Actually I was waiting for Mr. Isaac Leong o( ̄‐ ̄*)
I reached Kovan MRT station to meet with the rest of the people.

Got to the camp site by 8AM Got into our teams and all and prepared our cheers and everything else. In the afternoon, it was definitely great!

The first session was superb and the games were fun! The first day Team Gad really bonded well! We all had the excitement in our hearts!

I believed that even if we didn't did well in any of the games, we are all still very happy to be in the camp altogether!

Even if we lose in the game, we did a cheer for the opponent team. "3 Cheers and 3 Cheers for (team)! Hip Hip! Hooray!"
The night game was super duper uber fun!

It is called, HEROES AND HEROINES.
There are 9 different super heroes we have to find. When we got them, we have to "LEARN" from them and then we can use their "POWERS" to versus any other teams that has at least 3 powers.

Heres a list of heroes and heroines:
Superman
Indiana Jones
Phua Chu Kang
Cat Woman
Rouge
Ryu
Chun Li
Bruce Lee
L

The second day was superb!
We got to learn how to preach!
The Art of Preaching!

We got to learn how to act in drama!
It was superb! very very fun!
The water games was super fun too.

The Blue House was leading because of Team Simeon had the most points than any other teams.
When Lucas kicked off the game, every team started running towards our base and threw at us!

Though it might be kinda discouraging, nevertheless, the blue house became more united!
We really had fun and team work. Even if we do not know each other, we still worked together and cooperated well.

When everything ended, we quickly picked up the rubbish and await for further instructions.
Lucas then said if there are any water bombs left, we can continue our game.
BUT BUT BUT! Heres the twist!

When Lucas started the second round, everybody started sprinting towards the cellgroup leaders and the game masters.
〜(^∇^〜)(〜^∇^)〜

After the water bomb game, I had body aches all over. 〜(T▽T〜)(〜T▽T)〜
The drama was..
We didn't had any enough time at all to prepare everything. We only had time to allocate our roles and everyone did the whole thing with impromptu!

My role was the DJ, putting on the music but ... unfortunately I took up the wrong mic.
I took the Backup vocalist's mic and the volume was very soft.

But anyway, overall, even if our house didn't really win much, we really bonded together well.
When it is time for giving out the prizes, everyone was super excited.

This time round, the prizes are very attractive and very encouraging in a sense too..
There is a prize for the group's best male camper and female camper.

For blue house, it was Gwen and I that won!!!
ヾ(´▽`*;)ゝ"
We got a blue colored camp T-shirt! yay! (o≧▽゚)oニパッ
I was very very surprised! But in my heart, I felt that someone else in my house is better.
His name is Kai Xiang. He was the one that did all the props and helped out a lot!

Anyway, when it was time to sing the "friends are friends forever" song, everybody cried!
The atmosphere was intense and everyone was kinda sad that the camp has come to an end.

But after awhile, Darwin, Hong Xiang, Shaun, Jon Choo, Ivan, Peter, Han Yong, Kenneth and Isaac all of us jumped together then we quickly formed a train and run around the hall.
After awhile, when we turn back, we saw EVERYONE in the hall in the train line!

WOW! It was super fun!

Yeah, so.. In the end, even if we do not win any prize or in anything, I feel that it is the team bonding that is more important. And whats more, we came here to have fun and to build up friendships and relationship with God. Therefore I am very happy that the Blue House is very close and we really bonded well!

And I wanna say.. IT IS NOT ENOUGH!
I want another camp the next year!!!
(≧∇≦)キャー♪

Oh yeah, on my birthday, we all gathered at Clark Quay to do our team flags.
While walking to Subway I saw this pasted on the glass..

Oh yeah, I would like to thank everyone in Team Gad personally because on that day before we started doing the flags, they gave me a big surprise! Gwen and Jane took out a cake out of nowhere and all of them celebrated my birthday altogether. I didn't even thought of celebrating with the team and I didn't even expect anyone in the team know it!
THANKS THANKS THANKS! \(⌒▽⌒\)

OH OH! One more thing.. stupid Ivan Lee! throw flour on my face!

Overall, I really had lots of fun and the best thing is I really sensed a breakthrough in my life!
ET Zone YEAH!

ET Youths are you ready?!
WE GONNA STEP OUT!
We can't hear what you say!
WE GONNA STEP OUT!
Till the break of the day!
WE GONNA STEP OUT, RISE UP, REACH OUT, ALL THE WAY!
CAMP PHENOMENA!
woo~~~

I really hope that Camp Phenomena would really be great for me!
Anywayyyy I gotta go already, its late.

Hana Kimi Japan! - Hanazakari no Kimitachi (Drama)

Hana Kimi Japan - Hanazakari no Kimitachi Drama! I've been watching this for this week.
It has only 12 Episodes BUT BUT BUT! (demo demo demo!) Its really inspiring for me! It really surprises me with some facts that I could find in this drama.

This drama contains "ingredients" of Friendship, Brotherhood, Love, Team Work & Charisma.
Well, for most of the time its all about the friendship they are building.

If you didn't notice, this is the Japanese version of the Taiwan drama - 花樣少年少女
In my opinion.. ITS BETTER! (Sorry to every 花樣少年少女 hardcore fans!)

Japanese Drama really got the kick lah! They really portray a special expression that really expresses the situation! They are very emotional!
How I wish I could get back to school with my buddies again but, oh well, its time for new environment, new friends and new school.

I really hope that I would bond well with my future classmates in NAFA.
Hopefully, I could share my experience with my old buddies if I were to meet up with any of them.

HANA KIMI HANA KIMI HANA KIMI JAPAN HOOO ~
\(`〇´ )お!( `□´)/は!└( `・´ )┘つ!

Lets get to the point.
What I've learned from this drama is about this strong word, "Motivation".
In the show, theres this Father that said to his Son to encourage him. He was saying, "Nobody can do anything just by himself alone but when this person lives for someone, he or she would be able to do anything and accomplish it."

Wow..
I really felt that Motivation is really important.
What is your motivation in life?
What are the things, who are the people that is keeping you moving forward?

For me, theres 3 things.
1. God
2. Family
3. Friends

God - My first motivator! Encourages me and always by my side. Really give me the motivation to come to church again and again.

Family - I want them to be happy, so I always do the best I can to keep them happy and loved. More than that, I want my whole family to be saved.

Friends - Friends are the only ones I've left other than God and Family. They are the only ones I could really rely on. Praying together, having fun altogether, doing great things for others and even doing something real stupid but it is all really pure happiness.

So people..
What and Who are your motivators?
~~~ヾ(^∇^)
