I got 28 Points for my O Level's.
English - B4
Maths - D7
Comb. Humans - C5
Comb. Science - C6
Chinese - C6
Principles of Account - E8
I was kinda disappointed and lost when I found out that I do not have any polytechnic courses offered in my result slip.
Luckily, there are such a thing called SIM or NAFA.
However, I am kinda happy because even though I got 28 points, my parents began to show their care and concern for me. They even helped me to find private schools to enroll into.
I just hope that I could get into NAFA but its expensive.
Lets give a cost price comparison between NAFA and SIM.
NAFA
First Year: $7,000SGD
Second Year: $7,000SGD
Third Year: $7,000SGD
Total: 3 Years @ $21,000SGD
SIM
15 Months: $9,095
3 Months Foundation Course (because I've failed my Maths): $3,103
Total: 18 Montsh @ $12,198SGD
If I take NAFA, I will be taking up Visual Communication course majoring in Advertising Design. Though its my dream to become a Graphic/Advertising Designer, but my dad keep saying that even if its your dream, you still have to consider the job I'll get in the future.
NAFA allows the payment through CPF.
If I were to pay back in the future, lets say I pay $300 per month, it would take me 5 Years and 9 Months to complete my debt.
SIM allows installment so, lets say I pay $300 per month, it would take me 3 Years and 4 Months.
NAFA has my dream course, Advertising Design. My future job would either be Creative Director, Graphic Editor, Art Designer.
SIM has the potential best job in the future considering sales and business is a big thing in the market.
So which should I choose?! Continue pursuing my dream course Visual Communication majoring in Advertising Design. and I may have to pay quite a long time before I could enter Uni for my Degree.
or SIM? SIM's payment is easier but it doesn't interest me. The job prospects are good and I can quickly get my Degree since the diploma takes 18months and I could quickly take up a job to finish the payment and quickly enroll into a Uni.

Instead of thinking I don't have a way out already, I've got 2 important choices!

L - Change the world

Finally its here! I've been reading stuffs and news about the new L movie that is coming out in 2008 around the death note forums.
This movie is set in the last 23 days of L. Lawliet's life.
According to the Death Note movie: The Last Name, L successfully escaped the immediate death written in Rem's death note by writing his name first in the death note stating that he will die in 23 days from then.
In this movie, Ryuk will be passing the Death Note to another person. I wonder who is it gonna be! Anyway, I can't wait for it to come to the theaters.
This is gonna be different from the original manga but at least its fresh and a revival for the Death Note fan sites like http://deathgod.org
Hopefully this won't be a disappointing one! And yeah, I hope the manga version will be out asap.
Heres the movie trailer: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0BHNOgfW00A

Work work work..
Yes? (runs) Job's done.
More Work? Aye.
Having a job was something that I've been praying for. I got it but I was not prepared at all. But anyway, I've got it all under control, though its hard physical work, I don't mind as long as I can quickly fulfill my pledge.
I'm currently working in Noel hamper company as a Staging boy.
I have to transport goods around from the production section to the "library".
Sometimes there will have orders coming in and I have to take those hampers from the library and "stage" it on the trolley.
When it gets tough, I have to carry cartons of wine from one place to the other.
Doing that I could train my arms as well, but the bad thing is my back.
My spine can't take it and I have to take short breaks and stretching after I carry the loads. I'm glad that my superior was really good to me. He did not scold me while I took short breaks during work. Instead, he told me that I should take a break if I'm too tired to handle it. He even encouraged me, giving me some tips even. He told even encouraged me by telling me to persevere to carry 1 last hamper to dock it on the shelves and I can go have my lunch break.
Indeed God is gracious and good. I got this job and I was not ready at all yet I can have such a good superior above me. In my transporting section, there are a few "Pai Kias" too lol.
They are, Zhi Hao (aka Meow Meow), Shen Zhong, Aaron, Jian Wen and Jimmy.
Zhi Hao, Shen Zhong, Jian Wen are all 18 this year and Aaron is 17 this year.
While Jimmy is 24 this year.
Smokers: Shen Zhong, Aaron and Jimmy
Ah, they were all funny doods, they joke around most of the times.
I've been chatting with Jimmy for most of the time since he is in SG just for his holidays. After chinese new year he has to go back overseas for school, University.
I just hope that I will have the chance to bring them just once to CHC to take a look and feel the atmosphere.
Maybe just once will do. I can't wait for the rest of the guys to work this Monday, and I hope that all of us could dominate Noel hamper company! Bringing most of the people there to church would be great.
I just want to quickly get my pay, give my tithe, fulfill my pledge, pay my father at least $300, and the rest... CLOTHES JEANS SHOES PLEAZZZz!
Working in Noel is a big challenge for me too ~_~ Though its a little too exhausting but of course I have to put all my goals in front of me to make myself feel better.
QUICK QUICK! CNY 2008 FINISH FAST! I CAN SEE MONEY FLOWING INTO MY NEW ACCOUNT THAT SHALL BE MADE BY.. (still thinking)
Remember to pray for me :D

Hes never too late.
January 2008, its time for me to give my building fund.
I did not have any job even though I had went through at least 3 job interviews.
But, nevertheless! He is never too late!
Last week, I had been praying about getting a job quick so that I could fulfill my pledge and even buy myself new clothes.
I went for a job interview near Dhouby Gaut, it was a waiter job, but not only being a waiter, we have to do closing, carrying the charcoals, etc. It was a difficult job, said the boss that interviewed us (Han Yong, Hikaru & Me).
The boss said that he would give us a call on Saturday or Sunday.
I was already on high hopes for that job. On Saturday, I was waiting for the phone call. But no calls went through.
Yesterday I went out with the SA guys, Shaun, Hikaru, Ivan, Choo, Han Yong except Darwin and Peter, they were working.
And our special guests are Xiao Lii and Fiona.
So before the movie started, I asked Fiona what had she been doing during the holidays. She was working as a admin in some company. Shes being paid $5/hr.
I was desperate for a job so I quickly asked her about the details and I asked her if there were vacancies and when could I go for the job interview.
She asked her supervisor and thank God! The company needs people especially Chinese New Year is around the corner already. This morning I went for the Interview and it was pretty quick. It all ended less than 20mins.
So I went home and get a nap. Suddenly, a call came. I thought it might be one of the guys so I ended the call and continued on my sleep.
I woke up at 6pm and I was thinking, maybe this might not be one of the guys? So I gave a call back to the number. To my surprise, it was the company that Fiona was working in that called me, the person in charge told me that I'm in! I am going to report at 8.30am sharp tomorrow.
This was not the end, at around 6.30pm, the 1st job interview that I mentioned earlier, the boss called me and says that I'm in! But I feel that doing F&B is not my forte so I gave it away.
To my surprise, I've got 2 calls saying that I'm in the job but of course I only can take one of them. Praise the Lord!
Han Yong called me and told me that his timing and Hikaru's timing is different so he is giving it up. He even says that he want to go to the company that Fiona is working at for a job interview tomorrow.
Best of luck to those finding a job! God was never too late for me, just on time, just right, not late, really, its a perfect timing.
WooHoo~ Pray for me readers! I'm going to start work tomorrow! wwakakakakak.
